VAWG Survivor Survey

The Mayor's Office for Policing And Crime (MOPAC) has commissioned Imkaan to work with the independent Victims Commissioner for London to undertake a consultation of survivors to hear first-hand about their experiences. This online survey forms part of this consultation and will feed directly into the refresh of MOPAC's Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy.

"As a survivor of a 12 year stalking campaign, I understand first-hand just how important our voices are and the great learning, understanding and insight to be gained from truly listening to a survivor's personal experience. I am very aware that many of you may have been asked to share your experience before and that your words may not have received the outcome you had hoped. I can assure you that your voice is invaluable to the Mayor of London, myself and to Imkaan. It will help shape this strategy and inform policies and services that will improve victims' journeys to recovery and survival. I thank you, not only for your bravery in speaking out, but also for taking the time to share your experience with us."

Imkaan is a UK based, Black feminist organisation dedicated to addressing violence against women and girls and has long campaigned for the survivor's voice to be at the heart of professional responses. Imkaan represents the expertise and perspectives of frontline specialist women's services that work to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls and to ensure that responses meet the needs of survivors.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any point. The survey is anonymous and all answers will be treated in confidence. There are no right answers so please be honest and open about your experiences. In total, this survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. If you feel there are other women who would like to participate, please share this survey with them.
